Prayer of Abandonment
Based on the Prayer of Charles de Foucauld. He was beatified by Pope Benedict XVI on November 13, 2005 and is considered a Martyr of the Catholic Church
Father, I abandon myself into your hands; Do with me whatever you want.
I will only be grateful for whatever you choose to do.
I am prepared for anything; I accept everything.
My only wish is that Your will be done in me.
There is nothing else, LORD that I ask for or want.
Into your hands, I commit my life.
I offer it to you with all the affection of my heart.
And I do so, because I love you, Dearest LORD
In a way that makes it necessary to abandon myself
Completely into your hands,
without any conditions, and with limitless confidence
Because truly you are my FATHER
Friend, I abandon myself into your hands;
Make use of me whatever way you need
I will only be grateful for whatever you choose to do.
I am prepared for anything; I accept everything.
My only wish is for your good.
There is nothing else, Friend that I ask for or want.
Into your hands, I commit my life.
I offer it to you with all the affection of my heart.
And I do so, because I love you, Friend
In a way that makes it necessary to Die to myself completely for you,
without any conditions, and with limitless confidence
Because truly you are my Friend
Brother, I abandon myself into your hands;
Make use of me whatever way you need
I will only be grateful for whatever you choose to do.
I am prepared for anything; I accept everything.
My only wish is for your good.
There is nothing else, Brother that I ask for or want.
Into your hands, I commit my life.
I offer it to you with all the affection of my heart.
And I do so, because I love you, Brother
In a way that makes it necessary to Die to myself completely for you,
without any conditions, and with limitless confidence
Because truly you are my Brother
